West Ashley is a series of major roads that form a triangle. Highway 17 south, Highway 61 and Sam Rittenberg Blvd are the major routes and many of the connecting roads form the mature Charleston suburb. There is a really great pocket of the area called Avondale, which offers a great little hub to enjoy good restaurants, small boutique shops, a wine and cheese store and a few good beer pubs.
