New Construction on Johns Island

New construction opportunities have recently exploded into the market due to water and sewer being expanded onto Johns Island in the 2005-2006 time periods. Johns Island is a rural community and many land owners were pushing for water and sewer because they were “land rich”. The land they owned had more value with the ability to place more homes per acre.

Some areas of Johns Island, SC are not ideal for new construction because septic systems are still necessary which does not allow for as much density per acre as a public sewer does. A recent addition of a larger water pipe to service bigger tracts of land have produced several new construction communities into the Johns Island,  SC new construction market.
