There are a wide variety of Mount Pleasant homes offered in the area that include townhouses, condos, new homes, and resales. 

The condominiums in Mount Pleasant start in the low $100,000 range and can move up in price based on the location. Many choose to make condos their homes to avoid the exterior maintenance and yard work involved. Regime fees are common in all condo communities and by paying these monthly fees, maintenance and even insurance is covered as part of the cost.

First time buyers looking for Mount Pleasant homes have a bit of a challenge finding a newer home closer to town, but it is not impossible.

Most starter homes in the area begin at around $200,000 but and are typically homes built on a slab foundation with vinyl siding exteriors. In addition to these newer less expensive homes, there are some older Mount Pleasant homes that are not quite as pricey in the Old Mt Pleasant neighborhood but will most likely need a bit of renovations. 

There are also other more affordable Mount Pleasant homes available in good neighborhoods that can be found in the $300,000 to $500,000 range. These are more likely to have crawl space foundations, offer more square footage and can even have upgrades including brick exteriors and upgraded kitchens and bathrooms. As a rule of thumb, the farther from the bridge to downtown, the less expensive the Mount Pleasant homes are and newer neighborhoods like Park West and Rivertowne can offer quite a value with close access to the hospital and area schools. 

The more expensive Mount Pleasant homes are scattered throughout different areas. The older neighborhoods like Hobcaw and the Old Village can be quite expensive for older homes, but the larger lots and close proximity to town makes these quite sought after and sell well overall. Larger and newer homes also command a higher price and if they are in a very sought after neighborhood (like Ion for example), they can also cost upwards of over $500,000 or more depending on the size and location. 

Waterfront and golf course properties are also very sought after. The water access and views make this niche very sought after and a good investment for home buyers to consider. Deep water, marsh front and tidal creek properties are all found in the middle to upper price point and can offer a relaxed setting to enjoy life, so make sure to consider these as well when looking through this site for Mount Pleasant homes.
