Johns Island Homes

Johns Island HomesIf you are looking for quiet, seclusion and a feeling of green space, then Johns Island homes should certainly be on your list of properties to see.

The area enjoys a nice mix of new neighborhoods, and quiet solitude because of it’s rural setting that is slowly being developed. The many farms and large tracts of land provide a wonderful opportunity to live in the country, while also offering easy access to the city.

There are a variety of Johns Island homes to choose from. There are of course the traditional condos and townhomes available that were primarily built in the bustling market of the early to mid 2000’s.

There has also been a large boom of building new Johns Island homes because of a recent upgrade to the main water lines on Johns Island. At one time the water system’s main piping was not large enough to accommodate the water necessary to sustain larger neighborhoods.

Several years ago a group of developers petitioned the water company to allow more Johns Island homes to be built and a lawsuit ensued. The ruling was that the company needed to provide a larger main pipe. One this occurred, the larger tracts of land on Johns Island became more valuable and purchases were made. For this reason there are now many first time buyer Johns Island homes available at an affordable price.

Even though development has been moving forward at a steady pace, the area is still protected and does not feel as though it is being bulldozed for new Johns Island homes. Johns Island is a large island and the fourth largest on the East Coast. It is 84 square miles and about one third of the island is located in the jurisdiction of the City of Charleston, and the rest located in Charleston County.

One of the most sought after niches is the Johns Island homes that can house horses. There are many farms available that start in the $300,000 range and can move up into the millions depending on the barns and other amenities offered. This website offers horse farm landing pages that can make your search for Johns Island homes suitable for horses very streamlined.

Johns Island, SC has many tributaries off of the Stono River, Bohicket Creek and the Intracoastal Waterway that provide a wide variety of waterfront opportunities to include tidal creek, deep water homes and marsh front properties. You were very honest, direct and I knew you were genuine when you talked us out of buying a house because of the location. Thanks for everything!. Kirk Matenaer

I commend you particularly for politely putting up with my sometimes cantankerous, if not outright offensive, goading for results; I now realize I was in excellent hands all along, and I could not have asked for better or more courteous direction in the whole process. Dr. Adam Smolka

Your research and explanation of the entire process left us feeling confident in your abilities to follow through and get the deal done like it should be. Bill Chakos

Your experience, your calming demeanor and your ability to consult us in such a streamlined fashion was invaluable. Tonya Chakos

We sincerely believe Nat's competence, hard work, attention to detail, and most important his immediate action were the reasons our home sold in one day. We are now able to make plans to relocate. Victoria and Daniel Doyle
