Homes in Charleston SCEven better than selling homes in Charleston SC is getting to meet and help the people that buy them. I have had the pleasure of meeting people from all walks of life and could not imagine a better way to spend my days.  I guess you could say that helping people sell and buy homes in Charleston SC is not just my job or even my career, it is my passion.

I have found over the years (and yes I am sounding old by using those words), that there are so many reasons buyers start their search for homes in Charleston SC. Either a need to relocate for retirement, a new job with Boeing Charleston, a growing family with a new member on the way, or by just a simple admiration of the area from a distance; the reasons to start searching for homes in Charleston SC are all very different.

I also help many homeowners sell their homes in Charleston SC. This again is very rewarding for me. The industry is very competitive. When a client calls me out of the blue it makes my day. When a past client refers a friend to me, it makes my year! There are so many Realtors to choose from and when someone singles ME out to say they need MY help, it means more than simple words on a page can describe.

While the people and reasons for moving all are unique, the common thread that we all share is that we get a chance to know each other, to become friends and we get to share in the excitement of a major life transition and a change for the better.

Many of my clients are very kind to share their experiences after I help them buy their homes in Charleston SC by writing a reference letter. This is the ultimate form of flattery for me, as when I meet new buyers and sellers, it sometimes sounds like a sales pitch when I have to share with them how I work each day. If a past client is gracious enough (and has the time and desire) to share their experiences we had when selling or buying homes in Charleston SC, it gives others the ability to peer in from the outside for a glimpse into how I approach selling homes in Charleston SC. This breaks down barriers and makes my job easier moving forward, which I certainly appreciate more than those who wrote the letters will ever know.

With today’s internet use and the need to save paper for the environment, I decided to try and make it easy for people to comment on their experiences after we have worked together to share their comments.  I know this is starting to run on, but my words simply are not enough to convey how much I am thankful for my clients and for the new friends I have made by selling homes in Charleston SC.

Please feel free to read or leave any comments below and once again, thank you again for calling me with questions and with your request for help! And thank you for helping me do what I love, selling homes in Charleston SC.

Nat assisted with selling my home in Park Circle. And while the deal was not fully executed (no fault of his), he was able to get me a purchase agreement that met my financial needs. And even though the deal did not go through, due to the planning and advance prep work, I was fully prepared and had backup solutions in place. He was accessible and focused on marketing rather than just listing it on the MLS. Nat is certainly my agent of choice in the Charleston market.

Nat & I 'got' into Real Estate around the same time. It was my first home and his 5th sale if I remember. Since then I bought/sold 3 houses with Nat. I've recommended Nat to 3 friends who took my advice. Nat sold all 3. I wouldn't use anyone else. The only thing worse than a high pressure car salesman is a high pressure agent. Nat would recommend you not buy a house as much as he would recommend purchase. Nat will find you the right home for your situation. Best in Chucktown!

I was referred to Nat Wallen by a good friend in 2007, as I was considering the sale of my home in Charleston. Little did I know how important that referral would be in determining the outcome of the successful sale of our home in September of 2011. Nat patiently walked with me, step by step, through the many decisions that needed to be made over the next few years. Several extenuating personal circumstances made the sale a more lengthy and complicated process than most, but Nat was always easily reachable, professional, and courteous. His many resources and contacts became a valuable asset in the process of what ultimately required a short sale to close on our home. Nat knew when to be patient and when to move quickly and was extremely wise in his counsel all along the way. The results are undeniable. We were able to sell our home and move on with our lives with a far better outcome than we ever thought possible. I give Nat the majority of the credit in the ultimate outcome of this sale as he was the one who originally saw the possibility and then made it happen. Our experience with Nat Wallen as our real estate agent leads me to give him my highest recommendation. Whether the situation calls for the maximization of profit in a traditional sale or the mitigation of loss in the sale of a distressed property, Nat Wallen is the man to get the job done. Our family is grateful that we had him guiding us through all the way.

My wife and I began working with Nat about three years ago in looking to upgrade from our kitchen house on Broad Street to a larger retirement home in downtown Charleston. We had very specific requirements as Nat showed various properties over a number of years in Charleston until we hit on one that fit our needs on Queen Street. He was always patient and detailed in finding properties that were as close to our requirements in price and layout as possible, this is not an easy task in downtown Charleston. We completed some renovations and are now settled in, Thanks to Nat!!

Nat was instrumental in selling our home and his skill and knowledge made the process much smoother than expected! He also was able to help us find a new home on a time crunch which is a feat in itself. Nat is able to smoothly work through the inevitable "issues" that pop up when buying or selling a home and we are grateful to have had him as our agent. He is trustworthy, fair, and easy to get along with, which just adds to his broad experience and skills in the marketplace. Thanks again Nat!

I have used Nat for 3 property transactions (a purchase in 1998, the sale of that house in June 2011, and the purchase of a new house in August 2011), and will continue to do so in the future.

The original purchase of my house in 1998 went extremely smoothly and was the ideal situation for a first time buyer. Nat was informative about the process and kept me up to date on everything that was going on. When it came time to sell that house in 2011, although the real estate market had changed considerably, he was still able to get an offer and contract on the property within 2 weeks, which, frankly, is pretty amazing. There were a few inspection report issues that popped up along the way that could have ended the deal, but Nat was able to keep all of the parties involved happy, and the house was sold.

Nat was also instrumental in the purchase of our new house in West Ashley in August 2011. Again there were issues that popped up along the way, but Nat worked tirelessly on our behalf to make sure we received a fair deal.

Thanks Nat!

My husband and I would like to express our thanks to Nat Wallen who represented us in our recent purchase of a single-family home. We credit Nat with a smooth, stress-free home-buying experience, especially necessary in our situation as we currently live in Europe and plan to move to Charleston when my husband retires from the military.

Since this was only our second property purchase we had very little experience to bring to the table. Being out of the country for most of the buying process, everything was done in our absence and so was a little nerve wracking for us. Our many questions were answered patiently and we were able to put ourselves completely in his hands. Nat guided us through the entire process, from loan qualification to making the offer and closing the deal. Nothing was too much trouble.

Nat is savvy, experienced and knows the market and area inside and out. We are thrilled with our purchase and would not hesitate to recommend Nat Wallen to anyone else looking to buy their dream home.

Nicely said, Nat! You do such good work. There are a lot of people out there, good people who can use your help. Keep up the good work.
